 Altona is a Foundry for precision steel parts, founded 83 years ago, in the South of Brazil. For the past 23 years it has been exporting to countries of North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Its customers are companies in the fields of: Mining, Spare Parts for Pulp Pumps and Vertical Mills, Machines and Equipment for the Construction and Mining Industries, Electric-Power Generation, Heavy Transport, Dredging, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and Off-shore.
Altona has ISO 9001: 2000, ISO TS-16949 and SA-8000 certification from BVC, and other certifications from: Lloyds Register of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyds, Det Norske Veritas, and TUV. It is in the final stages of acquiring ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 certification.
